This movie was so awful. I didn't know if I wanted to cry or immediately murder the first happy person I saw after leaving them film. If you enjoyed this movie, you not only have no taste when it comes to Transformers, but to movies in general. You would have to be retarded to forgive the lazy writing, plot holes, and overall bullshit of this movie.

Problems:
1. Again, the Autobots are little more than props for the humans. There is no character development whatsoever. At least in the first movie there were times when the Autobots, at least for a few minutes, hung out and talked to one another. This never happens and you barely even can tell who the new characters are. In fact, they constantly refer to the motorcycles as the "Arcee twins". All three of them. What the fuck? Did they decide to randomly insert Chromia in post production and nobody thought the fact that she is never referred to is important?

2. Transformers is not a comedy. There can be comedic elements, but comic relief happening every five minutes is ridiculous. The movie would have been fine with just Wheelie, he's not a bad character. Mudflap and Skids needed to die. A lot. Their "dumb black guys" is so racist and stupid it is disgusting. They have no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

3. So many nameless Decepticons it is ridiculous. They also continuously copy alt modes, I guess. I saw Bonecrusher and Blackout. Are they somehow the same ones from the first movie or not? It's never talked about, never discussed, just watch the pretty CGI, don't question things like continuity! The Constructicons are both Devestator and the robots at the same time, so I guess they are just different, even though... they have the same alt modes. This is confusing and seems just a lazy attempt to keep reusing the same vehicles rather than bothering to have separate characters.

4. The Plot... I don't even know where to start. There were so many times I went "what the fuck?" Besides all the continuity errors presented, the plot just doesn't make sense. Megatron is Darth Vader to the Fallen's Darth Sideious. He is even a sycophant, which is not something one is used to seeing from Megatron. Basically, apparently, Decepticons have been coming to Earth for various reasons for millions of years, and these various reasons are unknown/forgotten or something... I mean, in the first movie, it was all about the Allspark. Now, what it is, is apparently Energon is the way you make new Cybertronians, other than the Allspark, I guess... It is also what keeps Cybertronians from rusting up and dying. I don't understand how they managed to live as long as they have without any. Why don't they have any?

Because you have to kill a sun to get it. Every time... Now, the original Primes never used stars that had life around them. The Fallen, for some reason, just super duper wanted to use Earth. Why? Who knows, because he's just EVIL. He's so evil that even though there are billions of stars, it is worth him fighting with the other seven over one star for... whatever reason. Anyway... To activate the doomsday sun device to make Energon, one must have the Matrix of Leadership. The original seven Primes died on Earth and used their bodies to shield the Matrix and hide it. Now, if all of the Primes were either the good Primes or the Fallen, how do we have Optimus Prime? No freakin clue. But only a Prime can stop the Fallen. Why? Don't know. What makes a Prime special? Ummmm... Nothing as far as I can tell. He doesn't have the Matrix, nor does he use it to beat the Fallen. Anyway, through random plot devices, Sam and co find Jetfire who then spacebridges them to Egypt and tells them that whole plot I just said.

So now Sam and co go to find the Matrix, and they do and it turns to dust and Sam puts the dust into a sock. Now, before all this happened the Decepticons had killed Optimus because they needed Sam's brain to find the Matrix, I guess, because he touched an Allspark piece. They had... already stolen an Allspark piece to revive Megatron so... I really don't know what the fuck they needed Sam for. Anyway, there is a battle between the Autobots and nameless Decepticons around Prime's body, which had been brought by the military to the desert so Sam could bring him back to life. Sam ends up dying and they try to revive him and he goes to... Transformer heaven, I guess... Yeah... Anyway, some of the Primes show up and tell him that they've been watching over him for a long time and that the Matrix has to be earned.

What? Really? If that is the case, then why did they have to die to protect it? I mean, if whoever hadn't earned it, shouldn't it just crumble to dust? What the fuck? Anyway, Sam earns it... I guess.. I don't really know what he did other than run around like an idiot most of the time saying "I believe!" like he's Mulder or some sort of Christard. The Matrix comes back together and Sam stabs Optimus with it and Optimus magics back to life but the Fallen uses his Sith powers to grab the Matrix and take it to the doomsday device in the pyramid... Now, five minutes earlier, a railgun had blown Devestator to peices on that SAME PYRAMID. The military, though, promptly forgets they have a railgun. So what is there to do?

Conveniently Jetfire has been horribly wounded and tells the Autobots to attach him to Optimus and so they do and Optimus flies and knocks Megatron and Fallen off the pyramid, beats them up a little bit, then while Optimus kills the Fallen, Megatron and Starscream decide to just leave.

Cut to aircraft carrier with Optimus and Sam and Optimus waxes poetic about the future of their two species. What happened to the Matrix? *shrugs* Who cares? Not the Autobots, apparently. The plot just races along pointlessly, never bothers to have any character development for the new characters, much less the desperately wanted development for the OLD characters. This film was absolutely worse than the first. It was nothing more than eye candy and everyone who disagrees with me is a fucking moron who should be ashamed to call themselves fans of this franchise. I haven't been so angry and frustrated walking out of a film ever. I don't understand what goes wrong. How much is Bay fucking it up? Star Trek was great, so that made me think the writers were capable of not writing drivel, but they certainly turned it around with TFs if this wasn't heavily redone by the director. Is it so much to ask that a Transformers movie be about Transformers?
